Delfinois an official organization registered under Japan Underwater Sports Federation
[JUSF]. Our main objective is all Finswimming related activities such as
organizing Finswimming trainings and participation to competitions. All
official Finswimming activities such as competitions in Japan are supported
by JUSF and any person who attends those competitions must to be registered
as a member under any of those official organizations. Delfino is one of 60 of official organizations which is actively supporting Finswimming
activities in Japan.
Delfinowas established in July 1996 by members
half from swimmers and other half from divers, and now expanded to over 70 official
members (as of January 2008). Having great help and backup from both outside
and inside Delfino, we have won numbers of Japanese records. In May 2007 we have won overall
championship in all four categories on 20th Finswimming Japan
Championship as a result of our all-out fight which we threw every resource
into it.
Our team name gDelfinoh comes from Italian, meaning gdolphinh in
English or girukah in Japanese. Having inspired a dolphin from its beautiful
foam and speed, Chiaki Komine who is a founder and representative of our team
named it aiming to swim like a dolphin, having his first acquired Italian made
monofin on his hand.
We are more
than happy to support anyone who is dreaming to swim like a dolphin via our
Finswimming Training which we hold on a regular basis at Tokyo Tatsumi
International Swimming Pool.

gives you disadvantage comes from wave registance. One of the most exciting
style in Finswimming from its phenomenal speed. Only 50m is available in
the competition. 25m is also available in competition in short course.
